# 2.2.1   DID

The CreDA protocol creates a DID based on decentralized networks. Users can also bind their own multi-chain DID. The binding process is enacted independently by the user in a trustless manner. CreDA’s DID will be able to exchange identity information with the DIDs of other systems, such as the Elastos DID, Microsoft DID, and so on.&#x20;

The CreDA platform ensures that the process of information exchange is implemented transparently, independent of centralized entities, by the users themselves, trusting only the protocol.
