Main Chain ELA > Elastos Smart Chain ELA (side chain)

Essentials wallet

Assume you decided to buy your ELA on one of the .

Step 1

Make sure you are connected to the Elastos network and tap in the middle of the purple field (as shown on the image below)

It will open next screen

Here you can see your wallet balance:

  • ELA on Main Chain

  • ELA on Identity Chain (EID)

  • ELA on Smart Chain (ESC)

Select ELA on Main Chain

Select RECEIVE in the bottom right corner

Copy your ELA Main Chain wallet address (tap to copy)

Step 2

Visit the exchange website where you acquired your ELA and on the withdrawal process window, paste your ELA Mainchain wallet address.

Always use ONLY Main Chain wallet address for any withdrawals from centralized exchanges! (note: Coinbase has ERC20 version of ELA, so DO NOT withdraw it as part of this process or you will loose all of your ELA)

Wait for the withdrawal process to complete. For this guide purpose, we have withdrawn 1 ELA.

Step 3

Now that you received your ELA, tap again in the middle of the purple field

Select Main Chain

And now we will send 1 ELA from Main Chain to Elastos Smart Chain (side chain)

Elastos cross-chain transfer usually takes between 15 and 25 minutes. During this time you will not see your funds, please remain patient.

Congratulations! You now have your ELA on Elastos Smart Chain (ESC) and you are all set to interact with CreDA dApp on the Elastos network.
